I knew i wanted a compact tweetmeme button for my tumblr post but wasn’t sure if it could be done. Long story short, I took my issue to a Google search query and quickly found the solution I was looking for.

I use DSLExtreme as my internet service provider and i’m moderately happy with my service. I probably should up the speed though. Today i had a lot of trouble with my internet service and it quickly became very frustrating to figure out.
If you are someone who has ever had networking problems then you probably know just how i feel. I probably tried ever trick, setting and troubleshooting procedure to find out just why the heck my connection was dropping out so much and eventually not working at all.
Eventually i figured out the issue, my ISPs desired DNS servers were either down or experiencing difficulties.. DNS or Domain Name System is basically a database that lists all domains, like yahoo.com or youtube.com and translates them to the appropriate IP Address. This happens because domain names are easier for humans to remember than a bunch of numbers.
Anyway, I switched from the DNS databases my ISP uses to the ones OpenDNS has. It’s free, and it has the added security of filtering out all the junk. Check it out :)

Sign-up for an affiliate program at a trustworthy “website builder” site like webs or weebly(and many more). Buy a .com domain that reflects the service you are trying to sell. Have the domain foward to your affiliate link. Design a flyer and print a few hundred. Drop off the flyers at schools, public parks, groups, concerts ect..
You’ll probably see better coversions if you pitch specifically to a niche. For example: young bands looking for a presence on the internet(band website).

Many people have come to me asking, what are the “best ads for blogs”. A year ago i would have probably said, adsense, i’m not so sure now. I have a slew of blogs and adsense is increasingly getting worse. There is one ad company that has been getting better though and has actually become my primary way of monetizing my blogs.
